Isaiah 55:8, “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD.
To drive home the point we are trying to make and make it clearer, let us look at this simple illustration;
You need a new pair of shoes (a particular and specific one – colour, brand, etc), and having prayed – you know that God desires to give you these shoes, but you may not know the manner/way, which includes, through whom and how God intends to give them to you.
There are endless possibilities and probabilities, which include, but not limited to;
- God miraculously providing the exact amount needed for the shoes through someone,
- God giving you an opportunity to make some money to buy the shoes,
- Someone, somewhere out of the ‘blues’ gifts you the exact shoes you desire and prayed for.
Romans 8:26 – 27, Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
The above are three (3) scenarios that are possible.
PRAYER: Oh God! Give me understanding of Your ways and workings, in the name of Jesus Christ.
