Discipleship Series; 29 January, 2022

John 1:14, And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

We saw from Scriptures below that though He was the Son of God manifested in the flesh and carrying the power and grace of the Godhead while on the earth, the Lord Jesus Christ could not do everything He wanted to do all by Himself, which invariably meant that He could not be who, what and how God the Father wanted Him to be without some solid and strong relationships;

  • Mark 3:14 – 15, Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach, and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons, and
  • Luke 10:1, After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go.

But aside these people identified in the verses above, see the Scriptures below, as well, and you would see another group of people who worked with the Lord Jesus Christ;

Luke 8:1 – 3, Now it came to pass, afterward, that He went through every city and village, preaching and bringing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with Him, and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities–Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons, and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance.

PRAYER: Oh God! Open my eyes to see those You have empowered and prepared to assist and help me, in the name of Jesus Christ.
