Discipleship Series; 20 January 2024 

DECLARATION: Through and by me, the kingdom of God is established on earth, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Romans 13:1 – 3; Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore, whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. 

One way or the other, for one reason or another, people ignore doing God’s will, obeying and fulfilling His role and purpose for them, and at other times, when such people in places and positions of authority attempt to obey God, they are met with and by stiff opposition, sometimes from and by those such leaders are supposed to lead and guide.

The sad fact, which is actually a silly thing for people to do is that they have invariably transferred authority to Satan, the arch-enemy of their lives and of God, while at the same time, with the same single stroke, eroding God’s authority and are attempting to decrease the influence of God in the lives and affairs of men!

Matthew 15:6 – 9; …Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition. Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: “These people draw near to Me with their mouth, and honour Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.”

They do these despite the fact that God, in and by those word gave express instructions about obeying those in authority over us and our lives, and there are severe and dire consequences for disregarding and disobeying God, His words and commandments, consequences with far more reaching implications for us, our homes, societies and humanity as a whole, as we can see with and in the case of Adam and Eve.

PRAYER: Oh God! Teach, help and make me do Your will, establishing Your kingdom on earth and in this world, in the name of Jesus Christ.
