Discipleship Series; 25 June 2024 

DECLARATION: Oh God! Let Your will be done in our homes, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

1 Corinthians 11:3 – 4; But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonours his head.

The power and rulership of the traditional men who have been ordained by God, who could have stood against these societal ills that began in the homes have been taken away, giving and handing the authority to the women, and in some cases to the children, “who do not yet know their left from their right” – who have not been assigned such roles or empowered for such by God. They (men) are at least hindered from performing their duties, which is why we see boys having been taught to be in touch and guided by their feelings and emotions, turning such males (boys and men) into weaklings who cannot and are unable to protect their families, stand the heat and pressures like a real traditional male.

1 Corinthians 11:2; Now I praise you, brethren, that you remember me in all things and keep the traditions just as I delivered them to you.

Boys who are not worthy to be parents are already having children, becoming parents – ill and untrained children, without knowing and understanding the actual roles, duties, and responsibilities of a traditional male, simply because they never had the opportunity of seeing a traditional man in action as an example for his life nor trained by one.

Because the man who could have trained him had been forced to leave his duty post or at least hindered from performing his duties and could not enforce discipline in his home with the aid and assistance of the constitution and societal pressure due to the abandonment of the original cultural and traditional practices because of globalisation, civilisation, modernisation, and westernisation.

PRAYER: Oh God! Strengthen our homes and make them be as You intended, in the name of Jesus Christ.
